Andrea Fagan

Andrea Fagan is a Liverpool-based painter, originally from London. Largely self-taught, she began painting in 2022, developing her practice through artist-led drawing and painting classes in Liverpool. Working in oils and acrylics, she paints everyday life, memory and connection, drawing on her own experiences and on family, friends and community at home and further afield.

Andrea is interested in how painting can preserve a sense of a person, place or moment while still leaving space for the viewer to bring their own associations to the work. Her work seeks to give significance to these everyday experiences, creating paintings that are personal in origin but open enough for others to recognise something of their own lives within.

Andrea’s painting 'Friday at Ama's' was selected for the John Moores Painting Prize 2025 and acquired by the Walker Art Gallery, National Museums Liverpool.
